1. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an engine request form or making payment to AutoPart Direct, you agree to:

  • Our Shipping Policy
  • Our Warranty Policy
  • Our Privacy Policy
  • Any applicable legal terms

2. Order Process & Quotes

2.1 Quote Request Workflow

  • Form Submission: Provide your engine specifications (make/model/year/VIN) using our online form.
  • Binding Quote: After receiving your request, a representative will contact you with:
    • Engine price (category A/B/C)
    • Crating fee ($120)
    • Estimated freight charges
    • Declared Value Coverage options
    • Quotes remain valid for 72 hours.
  • Order Confirmation: Payment confirms acceptance of the quote. The delivery timeline starts only once payment is cleared.

2.2 Cancellations

  • Before Shipping: Cancel within 1 hour of payment for a full refund. After 1 hour, the $120 crating fee is non-refundable.
  • After Shipping: No cancellations allowed.

3. Engine Categories & Warranties

3.1 Warranty Based on Mileage:

  • 0 – 69,999 miles: 60-day warranty
  • 70,000 – 119,999 miles: 30-day warranty
  • 120,000+ miles: 14-day warranty

3.2 Installation Requirements:

  • Category A & B: Must be professionally installed
  • Category C: Can be self-installed
  • Installation Deadlines:
    • A & B: Within 10 days of delivery
    • C: Within 7 days of delivery

3.3 Returns Policy:

  • Category C: Final sale – no returns or refunds under any circumstances.
  • Categories A & B: Returnable under standard return terms.

4. Shipping & Receiving

4.1 Address Requirements:

  • For residential delivery, unloading equipment (forklift/crane) must be available OR the carrier must have a truck with an onboard forklift.
  • Dispatch will confirm unloading capabilities 24 hours before delivery. Delivery is approved only after this safety verification.

4.2 Delivery & Inspection:

  • Standard delivery is up to 21 business days after payment.
  • Upon delivery:
    • Refuse visibly damaged crates.
    • Record any visible damage on the Bill of Lading before signing.
    • Hidden damage must be reported within 24 hours with photos/video sent to info@autopartdirect.com.

4.3 Liability Limitations:

  • Default carrier liability: $0.50 per pound (example: $150 for a 300-lb engine).
  • Declared Value Coverage offers full protection and is strongly recommended. AutoPart Direct assists in filing claims but is not liable for carrier negligence.

5. Core Engine Returns

5.1 Core Refund Timeline:

Return within:

  • 30 days for Categories A/B
  • 45 days for Category C

Condition:

  • Categories A/B: No cracks, mounts intact, fluids drained.
  • Category C: Cracks allowed, mounts optional, fluids drained.
  • Deductions may apply for missing parts or contamination.

5.2 Return Process:

  • Request a Return Authorization (RA#) from cores@autopartdirect.com.
  • Customer pays freight return.
  • Refund issued within 5 business days after inspection.

6. Payments & Fees

  • Crating Fee: $120 (non-refundable) per engine
  • Freight: As quoted at order confirmation
  • Declared Value Coverage: Variable; required for Category A
  • Core Return Shipping: Paid by customer

7. Limitations of Liability

AutoPart Direct is not responsible for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., towing, vehicle downtime)
  • Delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, or supply chain issues
  • Engine issues caused by poor installation, misuse, or neglect
  • Category C: All risks transfer to buyer upon delivery

8. Dispute Resolution

  • Informal Resolution: Issues must be reported in writing within 30 days.
  • Arbitration: Binding arbitration under AAA Commercial Rules.

  • Class Action Waiver: Claims handled individually only.

9. General Provisions
